TAIBU Community Health Centre (CHC) is a multidisciplinary, non-for-profit, community led organization established in the Malvern neighborhood of Scarborough, Ontario.TAIBU is a Kiswahili word is used as by well-wisher as a greeting that means, 'Be in Good Health'. The name encapsulates the vision of TAIBU, which is promoting 'healthy, vibrant and sustainable communities creating our own solution.'In 2005, as part of the government's expansion of the Community Health Sector across Ontario, the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care announced the funding of a new Community Health Centre in Malvern under the sponsorship of the Black Health Alliance (BHA).
