Sportside Medical Services is a full service clinic specializing in both sport specific and general rehabilitation. Dr. Karen Chrobak started the clinic after suffering a significant sports injury requiring reconstructive surgery thus taking her away from her sport of rugby for over a year. Her injury set her on a determined path to recovery and gave her an appreciation for patient-centered and sports-specific rehabilitation. Sportside Medical Services provides Chiropractic treatment, Massage Therapy, Reflexology, Nutritional counselling, and First aid Training at all levels. All treatment uses the latest technologies to help speed up your recovery and maximize your results. From an emergency medicine standpoint, Dr. Chrobak is certified as an Emergency Medical Responder and Emergency Care Instructor through the Canadian Red Cross. When not in clinic, she teaches an Emergency First Responders course focusing on sideline and rink side emergency medical skills for healthcare professionals and students who wish to work with sports teams. Through these courses, she also places medical staff and certified trainers with sports teams.
