Between the Malden Town Line and the Arner Town Line he created 65 long narrow farm lots running inland from Lake Erie. He offered land grants to soldiers in Butler's Rangers who were forced to flee from their lands in the United States because they had fought against the rebels who won the American Revolutionary War.
